I wonder… Have any of them ever looked at the powers of a chief medical health officer for a county, state, etc, during a medical emergency?
Those powers were written into the books back when pandemics were very real, and are probably still lurking, long forgotten from disuse (because Science!).
On second thought, it’s probably best not to give them ideas. Move along, nothing to see!
