Attempted Coup in the United States: Tracking Investigations and Fallout

I’m not sure anything has been highly usual since (at least) 2015.

Say what you will about Trump - it really warmed my heart to see that stunning display of family unity and support today. Standing right beside him.

Lemme guess; only Eric showed?

Or rather no honor among thieves, grifters and adderall addicts.

Spin Control

… live (or near-live) broadcasting lets Americans see for themselves what is happening in the courtroom and would go a long way toward reassuring them that justice is being done. They would be less vulnerable to the distortions and misrepresentations that will inevitably be part of the highly charged, politicized discussion flooding the country as the trial plays out. Justice Louis Brandeis’s observation that “sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants” is absolutely apt here.

This criminal trial is being conducted in the name of the people of the United States. It is our tax dollars at work. We have a right to see it. And we have the right to ensure that rumormongers and conspiracy theorists don’t control the narrative.

I can understand some arguments both for and against.

Against:
merkin von bankrupt + cameras = grandstanding, etc

The 24hr show as described by Your Lovely Self

So many of its numbnuts supporters won’t change their minds, not even if he stared into a camera, with glowing red eyes, horns shot out from under that wretched toupee, and he said in an evil gravelly voice, “I Am The Devil, You Buncha Numbnuts!” and then went back to ‘normal’

For:
The numbnuts, as stated above, wouldn’t be able to scream, “But we don’t know what’s going on in there b/c won’t let us seeee! deep state! WAAAHHH! We want transp-, uh, transpur-, no, transpo-, no, that’s not it, either! Trans-” but then is slugged upside the head by another numbnuts, who yells, “Quit saying ‘trans’ or I’ll bash you real good!”

Some numbnuts will actually join the real people here in reality, realizing merkin von bankrupt is a bankrupt, corrupt numbnuts and unworthy of worship. More and more are coming to their senses, despite what pseudo-journalism outlets say

Schadenfreude, for those who can tolerate both looking at courtrooms (I can’t - I loathe anything to do with 'em) and merkin von bankrupt (not I), and hearing his voice, too (oh God/s, no, please no)

As made obvs above, should it be televised, I won’t watch. I saw as much of the watergate and iran-contra hearings as I possibly could, but I’m not joining a sleazy numbnuts grifter in a courtroom each day. I’ll check out yt vids from news sources every evening instead.

I shall, howsomever, bring the popcorms.

Brief tangent:
Interestingly enuff, should they allow tv cameras, my BF may well have a friend and bandmate there filming for broadcast. He worked during the Depp vs Heard case ferinstance.

Donnie doubles down. You would think that a former casino owner would leave that for the chumps; but he was the chump there too.
