Yeah, No we havenât.
The people who erected the infamous gallows and noose on the west front of the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, began their work in the predawn hours that day, according to newly released videos obtained by CBS News. A report by a GOP-led U.S. House subcommittee said the perpetrators remain unaccounted for by prosecutors.
Luckily, all the people constructing trebuchets were told to push off and move along.
still hoping someone is able to figure out who planted the pipe bombsâŚ

In an unusual step, U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth filed on the public docket the statement he prepared to sentence Taylor James Johnatakis to more than seven years in prison. Even more atypically, he said he would order his clerk to mail copies to 20 people who wrote letters supporting the defendant â the first time he had done so in his 37-year career â to explain his reasoning

Iâm not sure just how useful this assessment (an excerpt from a forthcoming book) is. For example, I think the writerâs kept on the kid gloves here:
So when he watched Trump glide down a golden escalator to announce his campaign for president, in 2015, his first thought was, âThatâs Hitler!â By that he meant someone who intuitively understood the aesthetics of power, as in Nazi propaganda films. He saw in Trump someone who could viscerally connect with the general angst that Bannon was roiling and make himself a vessel for Americansâ grievances and desires.
I wouldnât cut him the slack. Heâs happy about the next Hitler because he admires the last one.
And:
Bannon wasnât messing around with basement kids anymore. The MAGA movement had matured. His audience now was grayer â people in their 50s, 60s and beyond, a lot of empty nesters and retirees â but with a similar need for connection, and perhaps even memories of a gentler time.
Iâm not sure itâs memories of a âgentler timeâ so much as a time when bigotry and general insensitivity didnât draw more than a side-eye, if that. âGentlerâ for them, I guess.
Here 'tis anywayâŚ

A Delaware man who carried a Confederate flag into the Capitol will be let go one year into his three-year term. An Ohio man who overran police lines and became one of the first rioters to enter the Capitol will be set free six months into a 19-month term. And a man who entered the just-evacuated Senate chamber with a Trump flag as a cape was released after serving five months of a 14-month term.
In the court filing Thursday, Ackerman admitted bragging that he stole a SWAT team officerâs helmet, which he labeled a âwar trophy.â The FBI said it had received a tip that included a photo of a U.S. Capitol Police helmet that included a âNew England 131â sticker on it on Jan. 8, 2021, two days after the attack.
An FBI task force officer said âNew England131â referred to the âNationalist Socialist Club 131â and the âWhite Defense Forceâ and described NSC-131 as âa neo-Nazi group with small, autonomous regional chapters in the United States and abroad, whose members see themselves as soldiers at war with a hostile, Jewish-controlled system that is deliberately plotting the extinction of the white race.â
