isnât he worried about opening a can of worms? Or does his cunning plan revolve around the technicality of arguing that Trumpâs role was different enough from what was described in the impeachment papers to thwart a conviction?

The only thing theyâre afraid of is losing their own personal grip on power, which crossing Greeneâs supporters would jeopardize. They either actually agree with her, or know they need to appear to do so in order to keep their own seat. Theyâve rotted their party from the inside out and this is the consequence.
