The judge on that case really needs to recuse herself, because it’s pretty obvious that she has no idea how to proceed with this type of case and because she’s behaving in a manner that suggests that she’s corrupt.

It’s a constant gobsmack unto me (not-a-lawyer) that a judge who owes their judgeship to someone can preside over a case critical to that someone. There really ought to be a hard rule that a judge must recuse themselves from such a situation. That this isn’t often even discussed serves only as a meta-gobsmack.

The corruption suggests that the last thing she will do is recuse herself - but she needs to be recused by someone, for sure. Given her overt bias, if the result goes for Trump surely there will be a prosecutorial appeal?
