It’s not really my thing (I’ve never really been one for clean vocals in my metal), but I’m so glad that it is a thing.

Couldn’t agree more…‘power metal’ is the right call. Also, good ear, the first song in the video I linked to was written in collaboration with DragonForce. They performed it with the band at an awards show this year:
If you can find them (on dailymotion) they shot a couple of shows in London last year, one at the Forum and one at the Brixton Academy…they’re really solid, high energy shows, and the band really rocks for both of them…they’re what got me hooked.
