"Okay kids, here’s the scoop. We’ve stumbled on some sort of freakish, highly advanced technology that appears to function at a cellular level. Thanks to the insights from both Racks (@Glutnix) and Honeywine (@rkt88edmo), we have both a working theory of how this goop works as well as the ability to accurately identify its presence on future missions. No more working blind. Listen up:
BLUE(???): is the most common salvage and acts as raw material that can be shaped, influenced, or programmed by the other types.
GREEN(??): is less common and can apparently transmute existing objects into more powerful forms with enough BLUE as a base material.
GOLD(??): about as common as GREEN and can be used as a power/repair source. If you give me a GOLD node, I can repair one of the subsystems of the Coleridge and give you 100Ʉ and GLO+1 in exchange. You can always use them on your own suit or sell them to other scavengers if you feel that’s a better deal.
RED(?): the rarest and most unusual of the nodes based on the analysis of the existing nodes by the Scholars. We’ll know more if we manage to recover one.
I’ll have more information for you shortly. In the meantime, if Goldie (@gwwar), Li’l Smokey (@newliminted), or Princess Jabber (@SteampunkBanana) are willing to surrender their GOLD nodes to help get the Coleridge and its subsystems back online, just say the word and we’ll make that trade."
