Badass Dragon Scavengers of the Void - Round 9 - Emergency Broadcast

Under withering attack, scavengers take to the void and manage to pluck several eyes from The Bogey. Unfortunately it still has a few extra to spare. Second wing does an outstanding job of reconnaissance which will dramatically improve the options available to you now. Philosolobster and Rocky Road do their best to recover more GREEN and GOLD, but are beaten back by agitated pseudopods.

Shortly after the crew returns to the ship, the Coleridge picks up a launch signature. Kassandra, on the verge of an unsettling discovery, triangulates the signatures and determines the signal is coming from The Bogey. Laboring at 1/3 speed, the Coleridge is in no position to evade or outrun the threat. The crew waits nervously for impact.

Suddenly, explosions rock the ship. Bulkheads quickly seal off the portions of the Coleridge exposed to hard vacuum as the crew scrambles to contain the electrical and chemical fires.

Racks! Honeywine! @Glutnix @rkt88edmo Glad to see you’re both back safe. I guess any mission you walk away from is a good one. But the lot of us are looking worse for wear. Average HP for us scavengers down to 42¼. Sweetness and Tea are hurting somethin’ fierce.

ooooh let’s 'ship them…they can be Sweet Tea…

Juice is way up, 172 average with a low of 71. No one should go hungry, thirsty of be gaspin’ for air for awhile…until the ship falls out from under us. Green is holding steady and Gold is up. I sure hope there are some selfless suckers that will donate it to keep the ship running.

GLO is doing well, although I can’t say any of the herd are out standing in that field.

“Not sure. I’m looking into it. According to Kassie, It would seem that the persona we knew as the Coleridge was the ships secondary persona, not the primary one. All this repair seems to have triggered the reinstatement of the primary persona. I’m no machine intelligence expert, but any deck jockey can see that the system processes running on the persona mainframe don’t look like standard incubation procedures, nor any standard procedures whatsoever. I hate using this word to describe the inside of a computer, but it’s … unnatural. It shouldn’t even be… possible.”

@Kassandra, does Dakota find anything illuminating or interesting about the ship intelligences? She’ll spend Browf’s juice on BLUE to assist, only if it’ll help, up to 40Ʉ. Maybe even that GREEN they’re promised by @gwwar.
