Badass Dragons of the Wasteland - Round Eight

So, ah, is there a plan then? We distract Toecutter, et. al. long enough while causing a ruckus and using Clank’s magical widget to let the kids get in behind while at the same time someone takes a few shots at Mel long enough to flinch while De’ath runs around the back side to run Mel over several times with studded tires?

I mean, what the hell, right?

I do believe that the latest spreadsheet is mostly correct for me, but my luck got crazy boosted last round from my second box of Lucky Starks. And I believe I have a railgun mounted back from a early on. Haven’t used it yet, but the chips are coming due.
“it’ll boost your FP by 20 for the duration of the Round, but due to the strong electromagnetic pulse, some of your armor plates will fall off and have to be manually collected, meaning your AR and SP will diminish by 10 each for the duration of that Round. But check this out: it has an Emergency Overdrive setting whereby if your HP falls below 5HP, your FP will spike to 100 for the rest of that Round.”

Anyone know if there’s a decent mechanic around who wants to boost my 12 HP?

(( OOC: I don’t know how current this was with the hiatus. There may be no more repair points available :frowning:

Comments or input? @Donald_Petersen , @webiii1976 ))

now THIS is a victory dance, a gol-durned Post-Nuke Shuffle:

Not really clear who Dagwood is dancing with, but at least he had the kind grace to leave his shotgun back at the Love Tractor. Not the sort of music I was expecting from Deadly Harry, either. But you can’t expect a gal to keep playing the golden oldies all the time, even on her comeback tour.

Oh, me? Don’t mind me. I hitched a ride here from… heck, somebody. Might’ve been you, I think?

Most people just call me “The Damned Narrator” 'cause I loves me some talk! And, well, the skin on my head ain’t too pretty, unless you like the look of red marble. But it’s a living. Sometime when this is all over, I could maybe pull out my ukelele and sing you the tale of a wander 'round these here parts, whose trials and tribulations took him nearly 20 years to get home to wife. But not now; we’ve got other fish to flash-fry.

That was a long and unaccountably restorative night. Maybe it was the visions of the Craftsman dancing in your head, but in any case you and Bill (@webiii1976) each find yourselves in possession of fifteen Repair Points. Spend them fast and wisely, since that clock’s tickin’ too fast to permit dickering.

Come at me last then, Bubba’s down to 16 of 46 and there are a few others with less armor than me.

Those repairs, and the ones earlier in that thread seem to be after Round 7 results, so I think they must be good. So if there’s anyone else active who didn’t get a repair then, I’d aim the 30 more points their way…

(( OOC: UAW Repairs thread linked below.

Please self-ration your repair requests, there are 30 points available. ))

Good eyes sir! Boot drinks all around!

i.e. looks like @funruly (35/70) and @bizmail_public (16/46) are the people who should be first in line to receive Clank’s blessing.

I submit myself to the Will of the Celestial Mechanic and accept any blessings, however humble.

My faith in the Wisdom of the UAW is complete: guided by the Divine Crankshaft they will do what is best for all creations, be they steel, aluminum, or crapped on.

Hallowed be their Tools.

It that’s the plan, I’m in. If the goal is to distract Toecutter, I would seem to belong in that cast. I could bring mannequin that would definitely get his attention.

But is that best use of my SP and MV? Because “run around the backside” sounds like a better used of the raw stats.

Please advise…

I don’t know what kind of dark voodoo magic De’Ath has going on with his escort, but with a speed of 104 and an armor of 124, he’s exactly the kind of person I’d want to volunteer. We don’t know what else is up there with Mel and I’d feel better sending someone with a little less MV but more SP and AR in case things get dicey.

What can go wrong? “Just relax and have fun with it.”

(( OOC: With 30 points, we can bring each of @bizmail_public , @SteampunkBanana , and @funruly up to about 60% health.

This would appear to be one possible “fair” solution. ))

I thought @SteampunkBanana was already at 39, from earlier in the repair thread:

@daneel +29RP = 51HP / 68MHP, STATUS = GOOD

@funruly +24RP = 35HP / 70MHP, STATUS = STABLE

@SteampunkBanana +12RP = 39HP / 39MHP, STATUS = EXCELLENT

@gwwar +34RP = 67HP / 83MHP, STATUS = GOOD

Total RP available: 0 / 117

That was my understanding as well, pile my bit on Bubba!

Hey guys,

I found some… interesting… literature in the cab of a wrecked truck that went over the edge here. Among all that, though, I also found these:

We are obviously on the main highway here (labeled 14). Fleetwood’s HQ is nestled in the south-center of the main rocky section, the valley north of the tunnel (which we can assume is heavily guarded). I think the Kid is being held by the Gorn at the “Famous Rock”. There seems to be three possible approaches - we know the main approach (from the north) is heavily barricaded, but approaching from the south or northeast will be difficult by car (it will need to be cleared, with rockets or other means).

XO,
Jane

Good place for an ambush. Lots of narrow canyons.
