For all their claims that they didn’t know what their paedophile extortionist cash cow was up to, they settled with his victims relatively quickly. Whatever the circumstances, money is the only thing they care about.

$290 million to make the case go away before the awkward questions period suggests a…strictly limited…confidence in their position.
