I bought the myth as well (and ATM have a stainless band on my right USAnian engineer pinky). Regardless of the origin it can be an interesting icebreaker/conversation piece.
The lore is amusing as well - many of my colleagues, wife included, have these and they’re supposed to be reminders that if you eff up, consequences happen and people might die. Sure, there might be crappy, low quality shotguns they could (and might) use to make the rings, but these are made of only the finest, most used shotguns, because their customers deserve only the finest.
