it’s more like the dem leadership is mostly comprised of a bunch of comfortable rich fucks who just can’t imagine the republican party is really willing to burn it down just to see it burn. some of them get it but not enough right this second.

i admit that 20 years ago i couldn’t quite believe it myself but then i didn’t have as much of a monetary cushion as most of them do.
