I’ve been stumbling across the live stream of these games lately on YouTube. The first game I watched one player was on stilts (where’s the strike zone, even?). He’s also a pitcher, which is just double insanity. They look like a ton of fun and one of those “why didn’t someone think of this sooner?” moments.
Also search yootoob for “finnish baseball”.
They’re playing in town this weekend and sadly, I found out too late to be able to get out there. Looks like a hoot!
They finally jazzed it up!
I joined the lottery (!) list for the bananas last year for this weekend’s games. Back in March they emailed stating that tickets would go on sale to those selected during the lottery a month prior to the games (so in April of this year). I did not get selected to be able to purchase.
Luckily my wife’s work secured a bunch of tickets and I’m able to go with the wife and our 6 year old daughter. It should be a blast.
I hope they continue to come through town so that others can watch! Also excited because the A’s will play their '25 season at the park, and as a Dodger fan, I’ve had my qualms about supporting the cats
