At 18s it looks like it could be the model for the bear on the California flag.

So… are those fences there to look pretty or to keep children out of the pool area?

It’s a grizzly on our flag. That’s a black bear in the pool.

If it were my pool, I’d let him have at it. I bet the fur-coat animals are suffering enough in this heat.

Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica.

Gave it three stars on yelp. Comfy, temperature was nice, but no fish.

Live bear jacuzzi goodness…

Does that bear know how much pee is in that pool?
I’ll wager not!

The bear replies, “A little more now than there was when I got in…”

“Do bears pee in the pool?”

He had to swim in a human family’s pool, bear families don’t have pools.

I grew up near there, and I probably saw a bear once a year. I don’t think people associate Los Angeles County with wildlife, but the whole basin is surrounded by reasonably large and rugged tracts of wilderness, with mountain heights well over 2000 m (the tallest topping out at 3500 m).

Lots of deers, bears, coyotes, cougars, and all kinds of interesting birds, insects, spiders, reptiles, and plants.

Maybe the bear knows how to use the child safe latch.

bb, that’s for “bathing bear” is it not?

I can’t speak from a bear’s perspective but to let go in the water is very satisfying if not a socially responsible act unless you are in the ocean or river!

:notes:Pee away great bear, pee away :notes:

Where does a bear go swimming?

Wherever the fuck it wants.

I live in the next town over from Arcadia, and we’ve got a long proud history of swimming bears here. One in particular became a local legend, and there are fiberglass statues of him all over town:

Also, when @Brainspore was here visiting recently he ran into this guy on a scooter ride just a couple blocks from my house:
