“In-demand?” In my experience, any asshole with Photoshop thinks they are a designer, and way too many people try to drive down designer’s fees because, “My nephew has Photoshop and will do it for $20.”
Just knowing how to use the tools won’t make you a designer. Any more than learning how to use a pencil makes someone an in-demand writer.

My photographer friend is equally sick of being asked what camera he uses.
These things are just tools, it is what is doens with them.
