In 1969, my dad got stationed to the US airbase in Mildenhall, England. We went on a holiday to Wales the summer of 1970. Our first night we stayed at a B&B in LLangollen, run a kindly older lady who asked my parents, “what time do you wish to be knocked up?” My parents told that story for years.
