Beware — "Hommade" sauce "does not represent its true nature"

Seems to me almost every packaged food item on the market should have this label. For Velveeta, it should be in mega-large bold all caps.

I haven’t looked at that stuff in a while, but don’t they have to label it a “cheese food product” or some such?
But to your point, “cheese” should be in quotes, or spelled “cheez.”

Yes. Harland Sanders was a Kentucky colonel and Tom Parker was a Louisiana colonel. They’re honorary titles bestowed by the states’ governors. But they’re official; it’s not like they just started calling themselves “Colonel”.

The funny thing is that I’ve seen people style him “Colonel” Tom Parker. But they’re putting scare quotes around the only legitimate part of the name. His real name was Andreas Cornelis van Kuijk. So he was actually Colonel “Tom Parker”.
