I can see them adding to the plastic rush, but they didn’t make all of these other industries follow their lead.
If it hadn’t been them, it would have been someone else. Plastic was a thing in existence. You may as well just say, “Science is why the world is full of plastic.”
But I’ll agree that Bic has contributed their share to the current problem.

I wonder if the perfume scent could be adversely affected by exposure to plastic. Whatever, given likely buyers, I don’t think the makers had to worry too much about the perfume’s original quality; novelties are not usually associated with first-rate.
