I am a Kamala-or-Joe-over-Gavin voter.
Gavin Newsom broke his campaign promise to stop companies from fracking in CA, & instead continued to issue permits.
This is a national issue for me. Gavin appears to be in the pocket of Big Oil.

I had not heard about that. Has Newsome been supportive of other strikes? And are they really “his” state scientists? That’s a weird way to word it, don’t ya think? They’re not “his” even if they work for the state directly.

I don’t see any indication they are striking against him personally. The governor is not the only one who decides how much state workers get paid and unfortunately this has been a persistent problem through a number of administrations rather than a response to any specific policy put in place by Newsom.
