I sure hope so, but I really hope the goal is more along the lines of, none of them can ever get out of their cells again…
It is true that my first instinct is to always lean into deep conspiracy, and then “coverup” really does emerge as the overriding driver. I think this led to a lot of 9-11 coverup and resultant conspiracies, OKC Federal Building bombing coverup and resultant conspiracies, so much.

The irony is, as has been pointed out, people are more likely to get in trouble for the cover-up, in part because it’s easier to prove they’ve destroyed documents…
