I’m pretty sure we can fake that too.
What, when there’s no longer any such thing as evidence and nothing can be verified?
This is nice, but the this Deep Fake of Fight Club ending by the same artist (Ctrl Shift Face) is far more disconcerting (spoiler alert): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wgOPZ0egjY
Apparently Donald Trump is the most lucid and eloquent President in the history of the US. Unfortunately, Belgium Hackers have deepfaked his every TV appearance to make him look like a total freakin’ idiot. You can spot the fakes, because his hair looks laughable due to poor animation. One day, the truth will out. Did you know he actually sounds like Richard Burton when they stop messing with his voice.
@Footface “Say hello to, “FakeCrime”; the Future of Law Enforcement Evidence! It is the one-stop solution for all your Police Department’s financial issues via Enhanced Targeted Criminal Asset Forfeiture! Any Crime! Any Place! Any Where! Any One! You pick the target! We’ll PROVE them Guilty!”
“No one would have believed, at the beginning of the 21st Century, that the President was some kind of digital puppet…”
Shocking indeed! The President should be a meat puppet, bought and paid for by the American Military/Industrial/Intelligence/Insurance/Pharmacological/Petrochemical Complex; just a God™ intended.
It barely looks like him and I was really expecting some sort of Stripes/Full Metal Jacket mash-up, which would have made more sense than whatever this is.
But hanging onto your junk is more fun.
He sounds drunk and had affairs? Not sure the Belgians got their money’s worth
Scammers can already study up on a family, learning enough information to make plausible calls to seniors asking for money by pretending to be related. They don’t need video/face time, but damn it’s going to make things so much easier for them.
The Congress is one of my all time favorite movies.
Pessimistic view: what’s going to happen (presumably already has, or is well under way), is there will be a top tier internet for gov officials and military brass to communicate totally separate (physically) from the lower tier stuff we all know and, um, endure. Basically, a world wide Classified system. It will eventually splinter every damn thing into those that have access and those that don’t, which will flow down to the societal level at some point. When it’s finally found out, it will be too late to do anything about it, and it will be defended as for the “protection” of the peasantry.
And this movie anticipated this trend of deepfake actresses and actors.
I wonder what it is like for people with great voices to open their mouths and have vocal delight just pour out.
As well as online and offline becoming increasingly blurred.
