Billboard displays huge swastika and other vile messages in PA – and nothing can be done (video)

You know what we did to the first guy who flew that flag? Why don’t we do it again?

My extended family lives in just this area of rural-esque PA but a tad south of. While not overtly racist themselves really, I guarantee all this does is elicit a shrug. Perhaps they might not even notice it. For instance they do not vote. This (last) year however, I took the initiative to beg them to vote Fetterman and Shapiro. I got my 70 year old aunt to vote for the first time in her life!

Well done! That sort of grassroots work shows why rural voters (and non-voters) should never be ignored.

Fire extinguishers are not only for extinguishing literal dumpster fires, but figurative ones as well.

This I’ve is way more convincing. Just change the ugly beige paint to black!

A right wing thinktank used to have a picture captioned “antifa burning an American flag” on a page. Debatably, it was an American flag, but it was clearly Old Slavery rather than Old Glory.

I’m sure there would be whining about defacing a Nazi flag.

Ummm… A blurred Nazi flag is still a Nazi flag. The other pictures of the billboard are almost more offensive and not blurred

Go local news!!!

This exactly!

Yeah, like if you mean nothing can be done within the bounds of a legal system that has always protected White supremacy, then yeah. Glad people are thinking beyond that in this thread.

Ah yes, Butler, PA. My 103 year old Papap lives there along with a bunch of cousins. Weird place. Used to visit every summer and while most of yinz are pretty cool there is a vile underbelly to the local culture. An aunt of mine writes for a local rag and has all sorts of stories to tell about the goings on there; both lovely and troubling stuff.

That’s some really shitty paint coverage. I would fire a painter who did such a poor job.

The method may still be suitable for certain niche applications. I can’t think of any at the moment. :expressionless:

Bet it’s how merkin von bankrupt’s daily Man-Tan is applied.

Oh, is that what the line refers to? The 1978 decision would have happened right around when the 1980 movie was written.

Yeah, that was a big news story around that time.
