Black Lives Matter. Still

This is why people are advised to never talk to cops. Too often there’s an ulterior motive in their questions or attempts to casually chat, and whatever people overshare is likely to come back to haunt them.

“After several repeated verbal commands, an officer struck the female subject [1] seven times with knee strikes and 10 closed fist strikes to the peroneal nerve in the thigh to try to gain compliance,” police said in a statement Tuesday. “The officer was intentional about where the strikes were made.”

[this] is consistent with his training, Lt. Pietrus told reporters.

So the lieutenant’s public confession of training officers to assault people was immediately followed by firing and criminal charges, right?
BTW, last year when I ruptured a disk in my back, the peroneal was one of the nerves that was pinched at times. It is very painful.

Much as I loved the shows, even at the time I knew the ‘star’ characters were caricatures.

Oh, and it’s Michael Harriot, so you know it’s worth reading!

Same. I was about 10 weeks along based on gestational age.
I wanted a child. I’d been in pain and alone because my spouse had a work commitment he could not get out of and I told him to stay there. We hadn’t told anyone but my OB about the pregnancy.
The last thing I wanted was to see the fetus.it never even occurred to me that I could be in trouble for it. Because I’m white
