You can use regular dishwasher tablets or liquid in the Bob, so it’s not completely evil.

Still working here - I’ve copied the relevant short bit from the FAQ:
Which kind of detergent should I use with Bob?
We recommend the use of tablets for long cycles or liquid dishwasher product.

Yeah, I eventually got to look around. The only way I could find the cartridges for sale was on the UK site. Nothing about them on the European site. All the others I looked at said Bob isn’t available in your location.
It’s French - they’re bound to want to upset the Brits
