I mean, Trump is an idiot who had no real plan or long game. His evil is pretty banal greed, pride and impatience. Bolsonaro may just be more of a Netanyahu, as in, Let me step back and sabotage for a while, and come back even “stronger” when they need me because everything is “falling apart” without me. Honestly, Republicans are basically trying to scramble together a similar playbook here, they just haven’t been very disciplined about it.
