Boris Johnson may be the UK's next Prime Minister, but he's up on criminal charges for Brexit "Battle Bus" lies

“We wish to stress again that Mr Johnson has not been charged with any criminal offence and is at all times presumed innocent until proven otherwise.”

Um, he invited the press to come and watch him lie in front of a big, red, lying sign. It was on telly and everything.

A fair point, i don’t have much to back that up but i’d defer to @Dire here and say he’s most certainly benefited from a very privileged education. I mean in comparison to chump, which admittedly is an extremely low bar, whom i can’t imagine applying himself to mastering english let alone anything else.

Yes, he is well known for his outright racism and cultural blindspots as you point out; he’s another british empire apologist and longs for the glory days when we subjugated a quarter of the global population. But he certainly has cultivated this façade of being a mr. bean character that i think led to him being elected mayor by people amused by his antics on panel shows and the like.

Yeah, he’s quite a smart man with an excellent education and a very posh background. The befuddled buffoon act is mostly an act, unlike with Trump whose brains are leaking out of his ears as we speak.
