Monstrous. Fucking, murderously monstrous.
Several more Federal executions are also scheduled in the coming weeks in a move that is “unparalleled” for expiring lame-duck Presidential terms.
The “pro life” party at work.

The cruelty is the point.
An 18 year old at the time, scared to not do what his peer tells him to do to hide a murder, dies by lethal injection…
I’m wandering who is the monster here?
Fuck!
No Christian should support capital punishment. It’s pretty much the only thing Jesus was thoroughly unambiguous about. Given the cost, no-one who believes in a smaller state should either.
Meanwhile, he’s probably going to be pardoning a pile of people who haven’t even been charged yet.
Presumably there were hundreds of thousands of pro-life Christians protesting outside the prison while this went on. Nah, just kidding.
You would think the president who has “done more for black people, except for maybe Lincoln” would have pardoned him.
Also, why was this a federal crime? Because it was on a “military reservation”. WTF is a military reservation??
It’s a death cult doing what death cults do.
It’s land on which the feds have exclusive jurisdiction. It’s set apart from the surrounding state in a legal sense, so any and all criminal matters go through federal court.
There actually always are, but you never hear about them because the GOP has colonized the pro-life position to be only about abortion.
Meanwhile…
Not justice, vengeance. Christians should really know the difference.
That would be the people who for no rational reason decided to murder two innocent persons. “peer pressure”, is neither an excuse nor a defense as I see it.
I’ll bet you don’t excuse the idiots in Congress who do things in fear of what Trump might do or say to them even when those decisions cause the deaths of many and they know it.
It is the mission of the Federal Bureau of Prisonsd to protect society by confining offenders in the controlled environments of prisons and community-based facilities that are safe, humane, cost-efficient, and appropriately secure, and that provide work and other self-improvement opportunities to assist offenders in becoming law-abiding citizens.
They sure fucked that up, didn’t they?
Brain development continues until age 25. How many Congresscritters are under 25?
Look at how Scandinavian countries do criminal justice. Their recidivism rate is 2/3 of that of the US with 1/10 the average prison sentence.
ETA: and that recidivism rate for the US actually skews low, because it includes inmates who were executed or died in prison.
