If shooting people live on camera got them more advertising dollars it would be an Olympic Sport. The IOC has no scruples. I just view this as the cultural appropriation of Hip Hop for money.

It’s a valid concern that this will cause Breaking to loose authenticity. We all remember what happened after Croquet was included in the 1900 Olympic Games.

I’m surprised that it isn’t an Olympic Sport already. It is physically demanding, visually arresting, and can be fitted in to a compact area for filming.
I’m hoping that Paris goes all in, and that they replace the crypto-fascist entry march with flags, with something like this…
