Breaking: Michael Bloomberg re-enters Presidential race

This is proof that Elizabeth Warren is the President we need. She has the 1%ers making #2% in their pants.

No doubt. Like I’ve noted in these here forums before (and I never thought I’d say this before a few years ago): I liked this world much better when billionaires kept their traps shut and exercised their power in the background.

…because, instead of being a life-long left-of-the-Dems independent, she spent the majority of her adult life as a Republican. Registered GOP from Nixon to Clinton.

It seems that lack of loyalty to the Democratic Party is not the real issue here.

OTOH, for those voters who are not mindlessly committed to superficial tribal loyalties, this seems relevant:

Very true. Taking both Warren and Sanders into account, the only thing long-term loyalty to the Democratic Party seems to indicate is that the focus is on returning to the neoliberal-lite normalcy of the past instead of taking us to a more progressive future.

Excellently phrased.

He should run for NYC mayor again; they really need somebody competent, and he was okay.

Well, sad that a billionaire actually has to enter the race and campaign to ensure that the interests of billionaires (who are the only ones who have done good for the nation and the world) aren’t threatened by a POTUS who gives a shit about what the masses want and need albeit at the expense of the billionaires.
Unfortunate that the Democratic base may nominate a radical far left extremist who supports, I dunno, awful things like fair pay, affordable healthcare, action to avoid or at least mitigate the devastating climate change caused by man.
Billionaires are not only our superiors, entitled to everything they want, but also so sensitive.

Bernie expresses it succinctly, as usual:

That’s a great campaign slogan for him

If coarse language offends you, please stop reading at this point.

GOD DAMN THE VERY CONCEPT OF “PARTY LOYALTY”. GOD DAMN ANYONE WHO PLACES LOYALTY TO PARTY ABOVE CONCERN FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY. And I mean both those statements from the very bottom of my heart. Party loyalty is why we have the stinking mess we have in D.C., with Republinazis vehemently defending an incompetent, corrupt crap monster because they’d rather have support from their party than to have souls. The founders of this country ALL vociferously warned us again and again about the dangers of party politics and some even advocated laws to prevent the formation of any political parties, but too many people are such mindless cattle they’d rather follow the herd over a cliff than think about the actual issues. DAMN anyone who votes for party rather than principle. And DAMN all those lying, stupid hacks who speak and too often actually believe the corrosive, destructive lie that party and principle are the same thing.
