I was wondering if they thought they could route their shipping though there?
That gave me a flashback to my brief stint in the oil industry… took me a while to find a reference on line… This has a precedent in the Eisenhower days… I’m sure there are many other examples…

I can’t prove this, but when I was told about it I recall that there was some advantage to not all of the oil going into Mexico again actually being Mexican…
