Only thing I’d question is why he’s there, but CA does have a massive economy so that might be the reason? Same reason I questioned DeSantis’ extended European I’m-totally-not-running tour.

Yes California exports something like 16 or 17 Billion dollars in goods to China every year. Plus Newsom is clearly angling to be the Democratic nominee for 2028 so he’s trying to bolster his credibility on international issues.
