My legs have been sore from walking when I would have taken public transit before. I am becoming a germophobe.

Cancel the rent is a good one. It should be followed by stop mortgage payments. Then when the banks get antsy and want a bail out? Give the money to the renters and home owners. They still have to pay those bills, and their equity will go up. Not the f’ing banks.

Our two lending banks have given us 90 day mortgage postponement, that is to say the those payments are tacked onto the back end of the loans. Mission Federal Credit Union, and Mr. Cooper Mortgage.

BTW: We renegotiated the rent amount with our tenants to just cover the mortgage until this shit virus blows over…

There is an ancient concept of jubilee when all slaves would be freed and all debts forgiven. Can we have at least a partial jubilee? It could be tied to rent forgiveness and other similiar things.

Fuck yes

I got a message from my credit card here in the US that I don’t have to make a payment until June with no penalties or fees.

There is a great idea. Give the bailout money back to the people who worked for it in the first place!

Desperate things demand drastic actions. This is basically what these people are stressing with their demands.

We did a similar thing on our house, lucky for them our mortgage is from when the homes were 1/4th of the price so although we cut their rent in half it still covers the mortgage plus we don’t completely loose all that income we depend on.
