There are two types of ships, container and bulk carriers. The Bulk carriers only transport one thing: coal, iron ore, copper, timber, wood chips etc… Oil tankers are a very specific subset of the bulk carrier.
In the shipping industry the brokers that sell container spaces divide the ships into Volkswagens and Mercedes depending on the value of the haulage. If you ever want to gauge world economics have a chat with someone in shipping!
I’m suspecting this is the work of pirate beavers.
