You say that like it’s a bad thing.
Again, CBD can’t make you high. I would’ve thought a Californian would know that by now.

Per the FDA there are no federally legal CBD supplements or food additives.

If Carl’s is going to go to market in states that have “legal” marijuana, then it’s not likely the feds are going to raid and shut them down for a single day long marketing ploy.
State legal unfortunately is not federally legal.
