Yetch… It doesn’t state clearly that it IS a chocolate stout, But I’ma hedge my bet.

Where’s my Cookie Puss Porter at?

In that case, the hashtag should have been #whALEofabeer at the VERY least.

Didn’t Carvel have a pretty small footprint, nationally? I grew up in the mid-Atlantic, and Fudgie was everywhere, but I don’t think he ever swam west of the Mississippi…?

The big question is, at Christmas time, do they flip the can over and brew a Santa Claus beer? Carvel fans will know what I’m talking about.

Fudgie was invented by my friend Kathy Dumas. She doesn’t have a wikipedia page but she should.

How often does something this iconic actually have a single, known inventor?

All hail this (relatively) unsung hero!

There are few pop-food items that inspire nostalgia for the East Coast than Carvel’s Fudgie the Whale and Cookie Puss, and Marshmallow Fluff.

You would think that Cookie O’Puss would be better suited as the mascot of an alcoholic beverage… But, seriously, I always thought Carvel was a NYC thing. What was its reach?

We had Carvel in Delaware, I always thought it was a Wilmington DE brand - but Wikipedia says Connecticut.

Does drinking this brew make you sound like Tom Carvel? If so, the secret ingredient is probably a dash of Drano.

Pete’s Wicked Ale out of San Antonio had chocolate in it. It was kind of cult favorite at least in Texas. Then it got bought out by someone and they changed it to appeal to more people. Now it’s no longer brewed.

Is this analogous to flavored tobacco products… beee-kaawwwzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…

Well he did always sound kind of lit…

watching the video, I keep thinking of how sweaty, unwashed and disgusting the average furry mascot outfit is and not wanting that anywhere near any kind of food prep.

I seem to remember an earlier Fudgie the Whale commercial. This is the one in Tom Carvel’s gravely voice that introduced the cake to America. Or at least to Brooklyn, where I saw it.

Can some body please breed me a CookiePuss inspired cannabis strain?

Oh for god’s sake. EVERYTHING has been done already.
