I know Devin knows the answer to his question:
It takes a metric f@*$-ton of money to build a physical amusement park.
A streaming service only requires an ass-load of money (many orders of magnitude less), so it is easier to jump on that bandwagon.

This looks like so much fun. I hope there’s an interactive walk-through “ride” where kids get to punch boxes and jump on Koopas and stuff. It looks like they’ve got some sort of wristband-enabled interactive elements.

Also, theme park rides take a long of time to design and build, and need to operate for decades to be profitable. Very few entertainment brands have that kind of longevity.
