Jumping into a cold lake every day doesn’t make my top 100 list of stress relieving activities.
There’s a Russian guy who swims like this at Montrose harbor in all kinds of weather. He’s been doing it for years. I usually run into him in the spring.
The dedication it takes to continue doing this when you even need to hack a hole in the ice is mind-numbing.
This really put a little ray of sunshine in my heart.
Meanwhile there are some smelt that have had to start therapy.
If you have to do it every day to relieve your stress evidently it doesn’t work.
Probably numbs a couple other parts as well.
This could so easily be a Jay and Silent Bob bit. Props to the committed bather, and to his wonderful musical accompaniment.
