That neighborhood used to be almost entirely Mexican families. Then it got gentrified.

A pothole being deified like this is symbolic of that shift.

I saw a post a few days back supposedly quoting a local who said he rodent that made the hole was, in fact, a squirrel. Tho I don’t know how much use they’d have for blue pills of any kind either.

Allegedly the hole has been there for decades. I doubt it greatly given the fine-detail in the toe imprints and knowing what Chicago’s frost will do to concrete.

Surely if was run over by a steam roller when the cement was still wet. Then it lept up and ran off.
