“What kind of a Shih Tzu is this??”
Is this a re-boing or am I thinking of the “Chinese zoo dresses up dog as lion” story - or both?
As the link in this story notes there was a different Chinese zoo that apparently tried to pass off a dog as a panda last spring. This zoo seems to have been inspired by the publicity that story (and the lion one) generated and is trying to attract visitors with painted puppies. The difference being that this zoo is being honest about the nature of the animals.
As the sixth mass extinction accelerates, expect zoos to become 100% dog in the near future.
Dogs if we’re lucky.
The eyes of that “panda” look disturbingly human.
It is a Reboing! The link to it is in this effing blog post at the bottom!
No, as the post notes this is a different Chinese zoo painting dogs to look like pandas. That’s why the first sentence in the post links back to the story from May:
Would a headline starting with the word “Another” have been so hard, BoingBoing?
And when you’ve seen one Chinese zoo, you’ve seen them all.
Hey, you’re the one who passed judgement before getting to the end of the first sentence in the dang post.
Why would I read even the first line of an article whose headline is (almost) exactly the same as the last one (other than dyed = paints)?
Are we gonna get the same headline for a series of stories, each one about a different Chinese zoo?
(Yeah - the word ‘video’ was there at the end in parentheses, too, I do acknowledge.)
I dunno. Why would you skip to the end of the article you didn’t read?
I only skipped to the end when looking for the preBoing, once @FGD135 rasied the question. Let’s not mountain this molehill.
No. Too soon. NO.
