The San Diego Zoo, one of the most prestigious zoos in the world, keeps a dog companion with their cheetah. Apparently many big cats get very skittish and nervous in captivity, and living with dogs helps chill them out. Is this really a case of trying to pass off a dog as a lion, or is it just the guy and his kid saw the exhibit while the lion was elsewhere and made some assumptions about the zoos motives?
Guess I’m just getting real sick of stories about how craaaazy China is, especially when there could be a reasonable explanation if they looked into it further. We don’t need more fuel for the racist, xenophobic fuckwads in America to latch onto.
