Reminds me of this passage form the National Socialists’ rules regarding jazz music:
So-called jazz compositions may contain at most 10% syncopation; the remainder must consist of a natural legato movement devoid of the hysterical rhythmic reverses characteristic of the barbarian races and conductive to dark instincts alien to the German people (so-called riffs)
First syncopation is not the same as back beat. Syncopation is about changing emphasis within the music; just because the 2 and 4 are stressed doesn’t make it syncopated.

Historically, moral panics over jazz, the blues, r&b, rock, etc., have been basically driven by plain racism. White people listening to music coming from Black communities has always been seen as a threat to the purity of White culture. Describing it as ‘the devil’s music’ has a long history. For example, this is why noted white supremacist Henry Ford was active in promoting square dancing as a safe, purely white activity, with no apparent Black or Jewish influence.
In the bible belt in the Netherlands there’s some churches where they will even only sing with each note having the same length, as having any semblance of an interesting melody will apparently lead you to the devil. It’s a wonder they even allow different notes in a song.
When your argument amounts to “Not clapping on 1 and 3 is the work of Satan” you should probably just shut the fuck up. No need to try and back it up with racist bullshit, just shut the fuck up.
