For Xmas this year, we re-watched Die Hard and ate Thai food; it was awesome.

A few years ago we started the tradition of cooking a big pot of Gumbo for our Xmas meal.
Segues really well into the NYE stuff of greens and black-eyed peas and cornbread, if there are leftovers by then.
Last year we watched Black Christmas on Christmas Eve along with Home For The Holidays directed by Jodie Foster.
This year it was Christmas Survival and then fell asleep. Love The Coopers was also on the list.
We usually do a search for non traditional Christmas movies that still have a Christmas theme.
The wife still loves the Hallmark stuff but Iâll bet she hasnât seen any single movie in itâs entirety because she always falls asleep.
It might be my favorite tradition weâve made. We listen to all our New Orleans jazz CDs and records and hang around making the house smell great.
Somehow it brings a little extra warmth in what is usually a cold, dark time of year up year.
