Also worth noting that Assistant Director Howard W Koch (not the Howard Koch who worked on Casablanca) directed a lot of 1950s TV series like Maverick, Cheyenne, and The Untouchables. He executive-produced The Manchurian Candidate and eventually became Paramount’s head of production.
As for Director of Photography John Alton–one of the giants of American cinematography. Quite a nice little film, though the narration is a bit ponderous. The “Featured Review” of the film at IMDB was written by the son of one of the officers involved in Walker’s real-life capture. It has some interesting tidbits about both the case and the movie.
