a bubble sphere is fine for a placid lake on a windless day but the wind and waves out at sea can reach levels that would destroy his homebrew contraption and toss him about like a rag doll. sounds like a stunt by someone who has never spent any time at all at sea and has no knowledge of the ocean. i do admire that this foolhardy attempt was at least for a good cause.
