A anti masker killed a guy at a bar after being confronted about not wearing a mask

I saw that and thought, ugh, what a weaselly headline. Both it and the subheading decline to say who the killer was.

Thanks for stating what the headline should say, especially now that Trump has pumped fuel into the covidiot terroristic antimaskers.

Well, this gives me so much faith in the vaccine…

It will probably still be safe, even if not effective.

That’s my take. Unfortunately, if it is not effective, that loss of credibility will affect every other effort to produce a vaccine that actually works, and probably feed mistrust of vaccines in general. Stupid stupid timeline.

Then why does it feel like losing?

Unfortunately what you win isn’t so good…

And, sorry, Jared, the hotspots are now pretty much all red areas. I know, I know, how could this happen? It was supposed to just take out Dem cities! You farging icehole.

I’m still contemplating taking a $100 bet on him dying and that thing actually being worth something, but that’s also a bottle of the fancy Lagavulin, and I don’t really have it to spare anyway.

Don’t even know what to do with this:

:man_facepalming: There are not enough facepalms in the observable universe to respond to this.

At the time, some Trump sycophants, like former White House staffer Sebastian Gorka, rode Trump’s coattails and advertised their own use of the drug. On Friday, before the White House announced the list of Trump’s medications, Gorka mistakenly figured the President would get back on the horse.

“I’m sure he’s taking his hydroxy this morning just like I did this morning,” he said, adding: “Hydroxy, Z-Pak, and zinc equals MAGA.”

No, that combo equals retinal injury, cardiac arrhythmias, and Clostridium difficile. But maybe it’s what we need after all - blindness, a faulty heart, and shitting our brains out.

Pretty sure that’s what MAGA stands for.

It would be a marked improvement for Gorka.

So we are now down 3 nurses due to Covid, still hamstrung by a hiring freeze, and have upper management sending out questionnaires asking why morale is so low and why are we losing employees. Meanwhile, the nurses still here are trying to balance having their kids doing remote schooling, working extra shifts to cover for the ones not here and maintaining some level of sanity (with varying levels of success.) Increasingly hearing rumblings about looking for new jobs. As well as refrains of “essential employee just means expendable employee.” Did I mention all the higher management folks are working from their very nice and expensive homes? Which are very much on display in the video conferences they do to improve morale?
Lord, I am so tired. How long can this go on?

“What is your attitude problem, and how can we fix it for you?”

My work is in its second Covid shut down and it’s wearing on folks.

People, now working from home, are starting to respond with “Yeah, I’ll get to it when I get to it.”
