I’ll at least compliment your taste in whisky. Nectar of the gods, that.

that’s what ran through my head hearing about katie miller making fun the request for plexiglass barriers at tonight’s debates.

they have convinced themselves that getting coronavirus is a good thing because it will make them immune. and, yes, people die of it - but only weak people.

there’s no way all of the administration makes it through this unscathed. and yet their ideology means those who survive will believe even more than they did than before that they are winners.

it must be a sad, lonely, fear filled world for them is all i can think. at any moment they might stumble at be eaten by wolves. their nightmares must be wild

That’s what I’ve been thinking this whole time; the more of their camp that’s infected, the less likely the odds are of them all recovering.

Miller is pregnant, isn’t she? She might want to STFU, then; because Covid has had negative impacts on infants, and it’s too soon to know what any long term damage will be.

I wouldn’t be surprised that 45 and Pence were trying to infect their opponents, only to have it backfire on them. I hope that Harris gets confirmation that Pence was tested recently and puts a fan offstage to keep him downwind while her mask is off.

Nor would I; it seems right up their alley.

Their Evangelical followers are going beyond terms of winners and losers. They consider this a test of faith, or a judgement of who is worthy or good. In their view, those who get sick or die are somehow morally flawed, too. The same applies to those who oppose the current administration. Don’t know if you saw the video of 45 supporters I posted recently, but that woman who talks about following God’s will gave me chills.

Imagine their shock when it happens to them directly or to someone they love.

But then they’ve just “gone on to a better place.” They’ve got an answer for everything.

Not 100%.

Having one’s faith completely fail one can be a life shattering event.

Good point. I don’t wish that on anyone. But sometimes I just hate them.

I have no sympathy left for anyone reaping what they have sown.

“sound money”, eh? Is that a dog whistle for “gold standard”?

This is my kind:

Sadness requires empathy and consciousness, and none of them have either.

The alternate reaction (from the stories linked below) is to push back against government regulations. Good luck trying to reason with people making those arguments. I try to save my energy and sympathy for the ones that are still open to change (followers who might be led in a different direction).

That’s why I would love to see their conduit of misinformation (aka Fruit Bowls) completely cut off. Sure the MSM has been sidelined and increasingly taken over by shady corporate interests, but the few standards that remain are better than the opinion pieces and infotainment folks are being fed as “real news” and “the truth” every few minutes.

i get it’s not good for cops to be spreading coronavirus around, at the same time – cop’s faces hidden by masks doesn’t seem like a great thing.

maybe there just aren’t any good answers right now. i guess i’d rather just see cops pulled back a bit due to coronavirus rather than harder to identify cops doing the same old.
