Holy shit!! That is utterly horrendous! I can’t imagine the trauma these patients (and the staff) are going through. What a nightmare! Easy to see ICU staff saying “I can’t do this another day” and just walking away. And then there is the PTSD that these folks will be dealing with. Oh my god, i just cant let myself think about this too hard.

All of their shows have been pushed back into mid 2022 with the exception of their New Zealand show that had been moved into next March (which is a sign that touring companies and labels consider New Zealand to be the one who will successfully reopen first).

“On the one hand, they want to be relieved of the restrictions,” Fauci said. “On the other hand, they don’t want to be vaccinated. It almost doesn’t make any sense.”

Welcome to Earth, Dr. Fauci. As this is clearly your first visit, there are some things you should probably know.

Coming back to this:

preprint

on the subject.

From.the abstract:

Abundant spike-specific cross-immunity may be responsible for the unexpectedly high efficacy of current vaccines even with single doses and the high rate of asymptomatic/mild infection courses.

This is a PREPRINT. It will undergo changes during peer review.

Here in Finland, we’ve had 23% of the population (1.26 million) vaccinated with at least one shot; this is elderly people, health care personnel, and folks w. health issues that put them at greater risk for Covid-19. Still at only 2.1% for two shots, but that’s because the health authorities decided to prioritize getting as many people as possible even partially vaccinated.

Germany mourns 80,000 COVID dead in national service.

What the article does not mention is that Steinmeier’s suggestion to put a candle in the window tonight to remember the people we lost was basically hijacked by the state prime ministers who are responsible for thousands of those deaths.

This prompted some people on social media to carry unlighted candles to public buildings, leaving them there as a kind of protest addressing the communal authorities to light them themselves.
The accompanying hashtag is trending on German twitter right now: #einkerzen.

Other than that it’s a good article and I very much doubt the author had that headline. I know from my own limited experience that some dickhead of an editor is always showing they haven’t a fucking clue about the content by “improving” it with what they feel are attention grabbing headlines that actually undermine the credibility of the article.

Thank you my friends. I am trying to take all the precautions, wearing my PFF2 (N95) mask whenever I have to go out, avoiding crowds etc. But the news are just terrifying. At least I´ve got good news, I am scheduleded to get my shots next month.

I hope that I don’t have to go to the hospital, but in case the worst happens, that I at least have the necessary medicines for the treatment. I mean, the drugs for eventual intubation and not the fake drugs that many irresponsible people are saying are the cure for Covid.

Some unscrupulous people continue to spread rumors about anti-malarial drugs or miraculous worms and other parasites medicine. Even former President Trump abandoned that idea, but here it seems to remain firm and strong.
