Oh man, so sorry to hear.
Hoping you get all the time and support for a proper recovery. Heal well.
A lot of what you said sounds familiar.
I never got tested for whatever I had that was horrible in January 2020 (complete with a week of relative normality before a big whompin’ relapse).
Noted.
Yikes.
Will mention this to my partner as well. We both are working, masked, and go out in public (masked)… masking only gets us so far, protection-wise.

My next available appt is for December. My next New Patient appt is for March. In Pediatrics. Nope, this is not normal. Nothing even close.

Yeah. This is my existing PCP, but I’ve been pretty scarce, not sure that makes a difference in this case. But I can’t imagine trying to find a new provider around here right now.
Or navigating any of this without insurance.
I know we say it all the time but I think it’s never enough so I’ll say it again: bless you for doing what you do! You’re a fucking saint in my book.

(Although I thought one of their things was that saints don’t fuck? I could be wrong…)

Nah. That’s just the prudes trying to shame everyone again.
I managed to get our kid her yearly appt 5 weeks in advance. I’d waited too long to get it at her bday.
@ClutchLinkey March?! That’s insane. I thought the 2 months on my physical was unusual. I didn’t have nearly that long getting to into my Gyno. I’ve been putting the mammo off. Sigh

This sounds too good to be true…dare we hope it’s real?

I got boosted recently, with the plain old Moderna vaccine. I considered waiting for the new Omicron-specific boosters to become available here in Finland… then I considered how many of my friends, family and coworkers have had Covid in the last couple of months, and that it’s been over six months since my last booster, and decided that imperfect booster shot right now is better than a superior booster shot who knows when.
