A: “What’s your source on that claim?”
B: “Well for example I killed, like, seven kids on the way to this interview.”
This was my thought exactly. If a stoned guy is saying cannabis use leads to violence, start investigating that guy.
Well, I’ve been known to murder a bag of Doritos or two while high…
He does not seem inebriated at all in the video. Are we seriously making that “stoned-looking” determination based on a single-frame, mid-word thumbnail image?
We can agree that he’s spouting dangerous nonsense without being disingenuous ourselves.
WHY ARE THE LINKS BETWEEN VIOLENCE & POT IGNORED?
WHY ARE THE LINKS BETWEEN RAPE & EUNUCHS IGNORED?
WHY ARE THE LINKS BETWEEN FASCISM & TOLERANCE IGNORED?
WHY ARE THE LINKS BETWEEN GENOCIDE & FLOWERS IGNORED?
Yes, BBB, those are complete sentences.
100% of people who murder children drank water at some point in their lives! BAN ALL WATER!
So, I guess Tucker’s back from vacacion?
If we’re going to pursue this ridiculous line of thought, maybe it should be pointed out that Florida, Texas, and Arizona are also home to high concentrations of conservatives, who also kill children.
/s
Also, meth content in the drinking water in those states is around 40%…
The exact quote was (the tweet actually makes the sentence more coherent in its paraphrase, as newspapers habitually do for Turmp) “cannabis use accounts for about %40 or 1/3 of the people who murder children in the United States” What…what does that even mean?
I think it’s people with a poor grasp of word definitions trying to use semantics strategery.
One can only hope his book is full of that made up bullshit.
The long:
And the short:
He’s giving you a choice of numbers. Like “About 100% or half of all people are women.”
Sure, but which half?
And are likely hotspots for Fox news ratings!
The better half. (I’m married and legally required to say this.)
In trying to come up with a “witty” response, it dawned on me that if you think in terms of XX and XY, you could actually say 100% and half of all people are women are both true statements. You could even include 3/4 in the mix and still make an argument.
Just goes to show that numbers without context can mean anything.
What no one is talking about is 100% of child abusers and people who commit violence against children also take Dihydrogen Monoxide. 100%!!! Every single one! But NO ONE is trying to ban this dangerous chemical that kills tens of thousands of people a year.
I wonder if he would be interested in dressing up as pee wee herman and giving this lecture at the local biker bar?
