So long as there are areas where humans live, there will always be some neighborhoods on the edges of wildlife habitats.
I hope the poor girl makes a swift recovery, it doesn’t sound like she or anyone else did anything wrong. Same for the mama elk.

What do they mean by “haze” in this context? Is it just lightly bruised? Was it shot between the eyes and knocked out? It could be clearer.
